This style focused heavily on architectural woodwork from the multi-dimensional walls in the Atrium and behind the Concierge desk, to the stylish breakfast bar and chic reading nooks in the community room.

From pre-construction and manufacturing, to installation and post-project, the whole team worked tirelessly to ensure that the architects’ original vision was preserved and that all aspects remained cohesive and true to both the vision of the architects and the Hyatt brand.

One of the common area’s unique features was the introduction of two custom “private guest nooks” that provide a comfortable seating area for making calls, working on a laptop or even watching personal TV.

Chris Beatty, Pacific Western Millworks vice president, pointed out that much of the execution of the “nooks” was left open to their interpretation and also left the door open to a less than satisfactory end result unless he and his team were willing to step up and let their integrity shine.
