The modern Architecture of this location really comes through in the architectural millwork details.
We understand that in the hospitality industry it is important that all details of the environment greet guests with a warm and inviting feel.
From the multiple dimensional walls in the Atrium and behind the Concierge desk to the sleek Starbucks coffee bar and quaint reading nooks in the community space this design focused heavily on architectural woodwork.
From preconstruction, to manufacturing, installation, and all the way through to post-project the entire team worked relentlessly to ensure the original vision of the architects was respected and all elements stayed consistent and true to the architects vision as well as the Hyatt brand.
Cynthia Garcia of Hyatt Place says that “working with the team at Pacific Western Millworks was amazing. They are responsive, super enjoyable, and they always got back to us in time. It has been such a pleasure working with them and we are truly happy with everything they have done at our hotel. We would highly recommend them for any project in the Hospitality industry.”
One of the unique features of the common area was the addition of two custom “private guest nooks” which offer a cozy seating area for making calls, working on a laptop or even watching a personal television.
Chris Beatty, Vice President of Pacific Western Millworks pointed out that much of the execution of the “nooks” was left up to their interpretation and left the door open for a less than stellar end project if he and his team were not always willing to step up.
Many times there are elements within a design package in which the manufacturing execution is left open to interpretation.
Integrity is not something you can easily show others.
However, it is revealed through the countless decisions that are made independently, off-site and behind closed doors.
It is in these moments, in which the decisions are made, that the integrity of an organization is revealed.
We are not proud men, however we do take pride in the proven quality of our work and the dependability of our people and our projects.
We invite you to take a few moments and watch the Project Spotlight: Hyatt Place.
If you have a project that requires architectural millworks we would love to hear about it.
